My job history—especially 12 years as Sr. Pastor of a growing church—has given me a wide variety of management experience:
1988 - 2005 Pastor, Senior Pastor
Duties include pursuing fulfillment of our mission in a manner consistent with our core beliefs and values; hiring & managing pastoral & support staff; overseeing and improving the administrative/business operations of the church; identifying and caring for dozens of lay leaders; providing pastoral care and counseling; determining and delivering the preaching/teaching content.
1986 - 1988 Administrator
Duties included overseeing and improving administrative and financial systems of the church; developing systems for event planning and meeting administration involving many lay leaders and volunteers; serving the leadership by carrying out administrative and pastoral projects.
1979 - 1986 Project Engineer

Initially hired as Calibration Technician in production area. Used precision test equipment to adjust accuracy of measurement product.
Promoted to Engineering technician. Assisted engineers by building and testing prototypes. Conducted experiments. Tested and refined production techniques. Provided routine support for production lines.
Promoted to Project Engineer. Designed and developed new products. Designed and tested production equipment and operations. Created drawings, procedures, and manuals to support products. Improved existing products based on field use and customer feedback. Developed new technologies to support company’s leadership position in highly accurate gas flow measurement. Was design team leader for the “Calibration Analyzer,” a precision instrument that enabled users to check the accuracy of ventilators, flowmeters, pressure gauges, etc. Was a project engineer for the development of the disposable sensor of the first hand-held pulmonary function tester. Researched Oxygen safety techniques and other quality systems for products and manufacturing.
